Yoga Knoxville
Welcome to Yoga Knoxville!
You’re probably thinking that Knoxville isn’t exactly a yoga mecca, but you just have to know where to look. I’ve designed this site to give you the low-down on the yoga scene here (there’s way more going on than you think!), my musings on the practice of yoga and what it has meant in my life, and some information about the services I (Jill Bartine) offer as a certified yoga instructor.
The featured photos on the right-hand side of the page are linked to pages that explain what the different poses in the photos are, what those poses do for me, and how I use them in my classes. Just click the photo to learn more. You’ll notice the yoga photos were taken in some cool Knoxville locations — many thanks to my talented friend Sarah Harper for the photographs.
If you have a local yoga story to share, shoot me an email with the contact form and what you have in mind.
Yoga has changed my life in so many ways. It’s my pleasure to be able to share my passion for it with you.
Namaste!
Jill Bartine, M.M., RYT

Congratulations on your site, Jill.
Love you site, Jill! Thanks for sharing!
Do you currently offer classes for kids? Also, where are you located?
Thanks
Gina
Thanks for your interest, Gina. I teach classes at The Practice Yoga, in Western Plaza in Bearden, and at The Glowing Body Yoga Studio, behind Magpie’s bakery in the Old City North. I currently do not teach a kids class, but there is one now being offered at The Practice on Sunday afternoons. E-mail info@thepracticeyoga.com for more details.
Loved the class yesterday at lululemon! Would like to attend your class that is most like yesterdays. I already feel so much stronger in my core.
See you soon.
Thanks, Joy! I’m a big fan of core work, so you’ll get that in any of my classes. My balanced/balancing/melodic flow classes are slightly less intense than the others I teach, but I try to keep them all accessible yet challenging. I look forward to having you in another class soon!
